Closed Rabbitry Policy
The health and safety of our rabbits is our highest priority.
To protect our herd from contagious diseases, parasites, and unnecessary stress, Cottage & Coop Farm is a closed rabbitry. We do not allow visitors, farm tours, or rabbit viewing appointments. We understand that purchasing a rabbit without visiting may feel different, which is why we happily provide:
We appreciate your understanding and support of our biosecurity practices, which help ensure every rabbit receives the healthiest possible start.
Reservation & Deposit Policy
Reservations are accepted on a first-paid basis.
Rabbits Under 8 Weeks of Age
A non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the purchase price is required to reserve any rabbit under 8 weeks of age.
The remaining balance is due either:
Rabbits 8 Weeks of Age or Older
Rabbits that are 8 weeks of age or older must be paid in full at the time they are reserved. Deposits are non-refundable if the buyer changes their mind, fails to complete the purchase, or is unable to pick up or arrange transportation as agreed. If Cottage & Coop Farm is unable to provide the reserved rabbit due to illness, injury, or other unforeseen circumstances, the buyer may choose either a full refund of their deposit or transfer it toward another available rabbit.
Gender Identification Policy
We make every reasonable effort to accurately determine the sex of each rabbit before it is offered for sale. However, accurately sexing young rabbits can be difficult, and mistakes occasionally happen—even among experienced breeders. For this reason, Cottage & Coop Farm cannot guarantee the gender of any rabbit.
If the sex of your rabbit is especially important, we recommend waiting until the rabbit is older, when gender can typically be determined with greater accuracy. By purchasing a rabbit from us, the buyer acknowledges and accepts that gender cannot be guaranteed.
Health Guarantee
Every rabbit leaves Cottage & Coop Farm appearing healthy, eating well, and free of any known illness or injury to the best of our knowledge. Because rabbits are living animals, we cannot guarantee their future health after they leave our care. Transportation, environmental changes, stress, diet changes, and exposure to other animals can all affect a rabbit’s health. Should concerns arise after your rabbit arrives home, we encourage you to contact us immediately. While we are always happy to provide guidance and support, veterinary care and any associated expenses after purchase are the responsibility of the buyer.
Transportation Policy
We are happy to coordinate with reputable rabbit transport services or work with transportation arranged by the buyer. Once a rabbit leaves Cottage & Coop Farm—whether through personal pickup or transport—the buyer assumes full ownership and responsibility for the rabbit.
We cannot control the conditions during transportation, including handling, travel delays, temperatures, feeding schedules, or care provided by transporters. Therefore, Cottage & Coop Farm is not responsible for illness, injury, stress, loss, or death that may occur during or after transport. Every rabbit leaves our care healthy to the best of our knowledge, and we take every precaution to ensure each bunny is well prepared for its journey.
